📡 What mesh boxes have been missing until now is finally becoming a reality: a digital identity via an RFID tag.

The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group’s new RFID mesh box tag marks a groundbreaking step toward digitalization. Developed in collaboration with Logistics Arts (LA) and HID Global, it provides something mesh boxes have been missing until now:

👉 a unique, digitally readable identity.

What does this mean in practice?

✔ Seamless traceability: Movements are transparently documented and assigned.
✔ Efficient inventory management: Inventory can be tracked faster, easier, and more reliably.

Thomas Metlich, Public & Cargo Affairs Manager at ÖBB Holding, thanks everyone who made this innovation possible:

✨ Willy Lutz, Managing Director of Logistics Arts GmbH, for his technical expertise
🤝 HID as a strong technology partner
🔧 Logistics Arts for the close collaboration.

The new RFID pallet cage clamp also strengthens cooperation with the VDA and supports the harmonization of digital standards between rail, industry, and the automotive sector.

A heartfelt thank you to all partners for their contribution to the digital future of the EUR pallet world.
